Trade on bitmex

After buying your first cryptocurrency and familiarizing yourself with the market, you may want to explore other methods of investing so that you can diversify your strategies.

Start trading Cryptocurrency futures on the Bitcoin Mercantile Exchange, aka BitMEX. With a BitMEX account, traders can:

  • Trade up to 11 different futures contracts (including bitcoin, bitcoin cash, ethereum, litecoin, ripple, dash, and more).
  • Leverage your investment up to 100x on select contracts.
  • Pay no transaction fee on all limit orders.

STEP 1: register your account

Sign up and register your BitMEX account with an email, name, and password. You will be asked to confirm your email address once you have finished the process.

Important note: BitMEX only allows individuals from certain countries to register. That being said, there are services available that allow traders to bypass country restrictions if they are visiting those countries, such as a VPN. A VPN, or Virtually Private Network, connects you to the internet via an internal network. Opera browser offers free VPN services, however, it may lag a lot. That’s why we recommend using our editor’s choice, NordVPN, which operates using military grade speed and also hides all of your information.

STEP 2: Deposit funds into your account

BitMEX only accepts deposits in bitcoin! Therefore, you must have a Coinbase account or bitcoin stored on a digital wallet in order to deposit funds into your account. Once this step is complete, you're ready to place your first trade!
